Cousins Everywhere!

Cousins Don and Brit invited us to their house the weekend after Thanksgiving. I think I counted 17 kids ranging from 12 years to 9 months! Needless to say, the kids had a blast; so did the "big kids."
Becka shows Katie and Grady a picture.

Kyla loved playing with Grady.

The two little guys, Joey and Grady, had fun playing with each other.

Christmas Tree Shopping

It was bitter cold outside, so we selected a pre-cut tree instead of heading to the field to cut our own.

Grady was exhausted after our big outing.

Back in his crib after we came home.

Thanksgiving

We hosted our Thanksgiving gathering this year. It was wonderful because Grandma Kay, Aunt Julie and Uncle Brian, Aunt Julie and Becka, Grandpa Wes, Grandpa Joe, Grandmum Yvette, Rachel (Grady's birthmother) and Aunt Emily were all at our house. What a fun gathering!

Grandma Kay and Grady

How many people does it take to get the mashed potatoes from the pan to the bowl?

Three - obviously.

Out to Lunch

Grandpa and Grandma with Grady - note the baby blue sweater in honor of Grady's Swedish grandmother.

Playing more peek-a-boo with Grandma at the Dock Cafe. He's relentless with this game!

Adorable

Grady is nearly always chatty, happy and smiling. We are so blessed!

First Snow

Inquisitive and exceptionally observant, Grady studies the impact of our first measurable snowfall out of his bedroom window.

Predictably, he ultimately has to stand up by the window. This is a skill he practices every time he has the chance.

Silly Faces

What a ham! Grady purposely makes these silly faces - and then he laughs. So do we!

That Crazy Chicken - Again

Grady actually likes the chicken/duck thing that sings the "chicken dance," and moves its' wings and beak.

Peek-A-Boo II

Grady now directs our games of peek-a-boo. He loves putting the blanket over his head; he giggles the second he starts. You can see his pure joy at the grand finale - standing up in his crib.

Standing Proud

The little man is working hard on standing next to the furniture. When he's successful, he's very pleased with his accomplishment (of course, we're a bit proud, too).

Thanks to Grandpa Gerry and Grandma Arlene for Grady's "new" high chair. He's such a big boy sitting in it and eating his "finger foods."

Halloween Party

The three of us went to a Halloween party. Grady is an adorable pumpkin, I'm a yellow M & M, and John is a book worm. (see the worm by his left shoulder?)

Weekend Retreat

Sunday was a beautiful day for a walk, so we headed out for the boat landing.

Hangin' out on Kathy's lap.

Friday Night Friends

Grady and Joslyn, who is 8 days younger than Grady. Remember their picture at Grady's RF Shower?

Friday night, we headed to RF for a pumpkin carving party at Jean and Mark's house. We've been doing this for a number of years, but it sure was different with a baby of our own. The crowd has grown over the years; I think I counted 15 children (ages 9 to 6 weeks) and their parents (and one set of grandparents)!

Kenna let Grady "help" with her pumpkin.

Grady and Joslyn enjoyed playing with the pumpkin guts!
